Adds Durable Water Repellency (DWR), increases fabric strength and protects against UV deterioration; one application can double the effective life of fabrics. Can be applied to wet or dry synthetic fabrics.

Product Information:
Ultraviolet (UV) light and dirt are the two most significant sources of damage to tents. UV light attacks the fabric, reducing strength and causing fading. Dirt interferes with the water repellency of the tent, causing the fabric to absorb water.
Nikwax Tent & Gear SolarWash® A water-based cleaning spray for tents and other outdoor equipment that protects against UV degradation whilst removing dirt. Unlike normal detergents, Nikwax’s Tent & Gear SolarWash does not leave behind residue that damages water repellency.
Nikwax Tent & Gear SolarProof® Water-based, non-flammable, and free from volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and fluorocarbons, it is safe and reliable.
Nikwax Tent & Gear SolarProof® provides Durable Water Repellency (DWR) and ultraviolet (UV) protection. Unlike solvent-based products which need to be applied to dry materials, Nikwax Tent & Gear SolarProof® can be applied to wet or dry fabrics. There is no need to wait if your equipment is wet before you treat it with Nikwax Tent & Gear SolarProof®.
To most effectively benefit from the ultraviolet (UV) and Durable Water Repellent (DWR) protection of Nikwax Tent & Gear SolarProof® it is best applied to equipment from new.
During use the equipment fabric will pick up dirt and other contaminants which inhibit water from beading on the fabric surface.
With use over time, the DWR will wear off. Both the DWR and UV protection can be replenished by reapplication of Nikwax Tent & Gear SolarProof®.
